King of Merengue to perform this weekend in NYC

New York.- The 'Carnaval Tipico Dominicano,' a music and cultural event will be presented in the Aaron Davis Hall, City College, located on Convent Avenue and West 135th Street, in this city’s Hamilton Heights section, on Saturday.

The performances begin at 2 p.m., featuring the Dominican King of Merengue Joseito Mateo. The show includes music and dance with the Grupo Cultural Tipico Dominicano and other performers. The tickets cost $10 for adults and children enter for $5.

In addition, the Hall announced that it will present, through May 5, "Caribbean Celebrations: Port of Spain to New York City," photographs by Ray Llanos. Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and during performances. (212) 650-7100.
